A must for any confined cat

This is perfect for the feral kitty we have been rehabilitating. The mounting bracket is strong and wide enough to cover multiple bars. In our case we are also using it to help support the shelf above from flexing. I may get her a second one to go across horizontally just to provide additional rubbing and scratching opportunities.
We are obviously using it in a large cat cage but it would've worked fine in her previous dog crate that we were originally housing her in.

Exactly what I was looking for only better

I love it more than the kittens do at this point, but I am sure they will discover its usefulness as readily as they took to scratching and climbing my couch. I got this specifically so it could be mounted in the cat cage- er... Play Pen that I purchased to contain the two little demon fluffs safely while I am at work. I positioned it so they can not only get a good stretch and scratch in... but also so they can climb it as easily as they do my curtains and furniture to get to the up to their plush beds and hammock.

It installed on the side of the pen so easily I was almost disappointed. No challenge, no getting crafty to make it work?? Just boom, right out of the box success?? Wow!! Purrrfect! (Oh come on... you know I had to use the purr pun. It's a cat accessory!) It's good and stout and well made. The mounting brackets are made of a decent gauge steel and the hardware was no nonsense. It's much more heavy duty than the side of the pen it's attached to and came with better mounting hardware than my over the stove microwave. Go figure.

I rescue and foster kittens and cats. I have two feral moms in cages and wanted something to get them more active within their confinement. They are both using the scratching posts. ?

Great for my foster kittens

I really like this product. It fit our needs very well. I foster kittens and have to have them under quarantine for a few weeks to begin with. So far I've had two groups that have used this. They scratch, hang from it, and use it to jump off of. I did spray a small amount of a quality catnip spray on it . The one thing I will say is that I'm glad that it has the knobs at the top and bottom of the scratcher. It didn't quite line up with our cage wires, so all I had to do was loosen the bottom knob a little bit, put the bottom bracket through the holes on the side of the cage, and then tighten it back up and it's perfect. Pictured is a 6 week old kitten for reference to size. And it is in a two story Midwest critter cage.

Glad I Purchased It

My kitten has a larger kennel and I want him to have some things to do while in there. This post fastens onto the bars of the kennel so he can do a bit of scratching and climbing in there. It's a fairly simple design but I do recommend having another set of hands to help you hold the post and the back bracket while one screws in the fasteners. I did it alone, and while doable it took a lot longer. So far I haven't had any issues with it loosening or moving around, and the cat loves it.

I have two cats that love scratching posts! They adore this wall post. I've got them all over and they are inconspicuous compared to the large towers. These also keep my floor open, makes it easier to clean the house!

Good cat scratcher for a cat cage

When my cat has a litter of kittens, I keep them in a large cage for the first month. This protects them from getting into mischief. It also keeps the mom-cat with them, instead of her wandering off. But, space is at a premium, so a cat scratching post that fits well in the cat cage is best. I previously used very small freestanding cat scratchers, but this one works better. It was easy to install.

This was easy to attach to the cage, no tools needed, and our kitten enjoys climbing on it and scratching on it. Seems heavy duty so far.
